Techint Italy is to build a new crude oil treatment and storage facility worth approximately 150 million dollars. The plant will be built in the Al-Khafji complex .
Techint Italy was recently awarded a contract in the Middle East to build a new crude oil treatment and storage facility for Al-Khafji Joint Operations (KJO), a joint venture set up by the Aramco Gulf Operations Company and the Kuwaiti Gulf Oil Company. The plant, whose function is to maintain the oil wells¿ extraction capacity at 50,000 barrels for the next 20 years, will be built in the Al-Khafji complex located in the neutral zone between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
The EPC project will be delivered on a lump-sum turnkey basis and is worth approximately 150 million dollars. It is a significant reference for Techint Italy in the Middle East area, market which is more and more strategically important.
